Learning support services

Learning supports are the many ways we help you succeed with your academic studies. We offer a wide range of supports should you need it. Whether it's participating in our Peer Assisted Learning (PALS) program, accessing our library resources or visiting the Writing Centre, we have several options to help you while you're a student with us.

Our learning supports

English as an Additional Language (EAL) One-on-one support is available to help you strengthen your English language skills in listening, speaking, pronunciation, and reading.
Writing support Our Writing Centre can help you with assignments, essays, resumes, reflections, grammar, punctuation and more.
Peer Assisted Learning (PALS) Students support students in learning through group study, one-to-one support, test preparation sessions and webinars.
Tutoring Tutoring support can help improve your study skills, prepare for tests and assignments and keep you focused.
Libraries NSCC Libraries provide access to a wide range of resources and supports, both online and in-person.
Testing Centres

Our Testing Centres offer test proctoring for students with approved accommodations, students taking online courses, external exams and those who are writing the Canadian Adult Education Credential (CAEC).

Talk to your Faculty Advisor, Student Services Advisor, Campus librarian, Student Accessibility Specialist or the Learning Commons Coordinator about strategies and resources that are the best fit for you and your program.
