About Anna

  • Anna joined NSCC in 2002 as a member of the Institutional Research team. Since then, she’s held progressively senior roles within the College.
  • In 2014, Anna was appointed Vice-President, Enrolment. She became Vice-President, Academic in 2017 and was named Vice-President, College Services in 2022.
  • Anna is involved in regional and national initiatives to strengthen the college community. She’s an ex-officio member of the Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency’s board since 2017 and serves on Colleges and Institutes Canada’s research and statistics committee.

About Lynn

  • Lynn came to NSCC following a 20-year career in the provincial public service.
  • She served as Deputy Minister of the Nova Scotia Department of Community Services for six years, leading 1800+ staff province-wide to provide Nova Scotians with essential services and supports. Lynn first came to know and love NSCC when she was Senior Executive Director with the Skills and Learning branch of the Department of Labour and Advanced Education.
  • Lynn began her career with the Department of Justice, where, as a Policy Advisor, she drew on her legal education (Bachelor of Laws, Dalhousie University) to fulfill her responsibilities for legislative, policy and project development, particularly in the areas of civil law and family violence.
  • Her career has followed her passion for social justice, social inclusion and social progress.

About Andrew

  • Andrew Lafford boasts over two decades of unwavering dedication to advancing post-secondary education. After completing his studies, Andrew embarked on a career in Software Development within the health services industry, where he discovered a passion for nurturing the next generation of professionals through his knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • In 2007, Andrew joined NSCC as a Curriculum Consultant, marking the beginning of an 18-year journey filled with impactful contributions. Throughout his tenure, he has held various progressive roles, each characterized by his steadfast commitment to educational excellence.
  • Through his visionary leadership, Andrew continues to shape the educational landscape, equipping students with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in an ever-evolving world.

About Jill

  • Jill joined NSCC in 2006 as Coordinator of the African Canadian Transition Program. Since then, she’s held progressively senior roles within the College, including her position as Executive Director, Human Rights, Equity and Inclusion. In December 2021, Jill was named Acting Vice-President, Academic and in 2022 became Vice-President Academic.
  • Jill was named Vice-President, Equity and International in June 2024.
  • Jill is involved in regional and national initiatives to strengthen the College community through an equity lens. She’s an ex-officio member of the Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency’s board, serves on the African Nova Scotian Provincial Advisory Council and strives to ensure that all tenets of the academic experience are designed to support continuous improvement and genuine inclusion.
