Your 2SLGBTQ+ advisor is someone you can connect with to have a discussion, get answers to your questions and more. Available for 2SLGBTQ+ students, your advisor can help you access resources on-campus and off and get guidance and advice to help you feel welcomed and empowered to succeed.
Your advisor offers:
- Culturally-responsive support.
- Workshops promoting awareness and education of 2SLGBTQ+ communities and navigating issues such as homophobia and transphobia.
- Access to community resources.
- Support and advocacy for pronoun and name changes, identity and gender expression.
- Connection and community building with other 2SLGBTQ+ learners and campus Gender Sexuality Alliances (GSAs).
- Participation in events and experiences celebrating 2SLGBTQ+ communities.
- Guidance for applying to NSCC awards, scholarships and bursaries for 2SLGBTQ+ students.

Awards for 2SLGBTQ+ students
We offer more than $3 million in awards, scholarships and bursaries each year. Funded by donors, partners and sponsors through NSCC Foundation, awards are granted based on a range of criteria such as financial need, leadership, volunteer experience and career interests.
