Land Acknowledgement

NSCC is located in Mi’kma’ki, the unceded territory and traditional homeland of the Mi’kmaq Nation. Our relationship is based on a series of peace and friendship treaties between the Mi’kmaq Nation and the Crown, dating back to 1725.

As Treaty beneficiaries, we recognize that we are all Treaty People.

Skilled trades pilot offers new learning pathway for grade 12 students The Nova Scotia Government is launching a skilled trades pilot program this fall for 34 grade 12 students who meet graduation requirements at the end of the first semester to enter NSCC’s pre-apprenticeship Plumbing program at Sydney Waterfront Campus and the pre-apprenticeship Electrical Construction and Industrial program at Truro Campus.

Canada invests in research infrastructure and in the next generation of scientists Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) announced over $18 million to support 23 research infrastructure projects at 21 post-secondary's across Canada. Funding will help establish the Agriculture Biotechnology Cool Climate Centre (ABC3) at NSCC’s Annapolis Valley Campus.
