Planting seed potatoes is a dynamic activity that requires communication and teamwork to successfully and safely complete on time. The detail and quality of the planting job is critical for the year round success of the operation. The work done at this seed potato farm is directly connected to our Cavendish Farms french fry plants on PEI.
Key responsibilities:
Equipment operation including farm tractors, forklift, skid steer loader, potato handling equipment
Planting potatoes and/or associated tasks
Basic equipment repairs and preventative maintenance
All other duties as assigned

Must have valid driver’s license
Availability to work extended hours, evenings and weekends
Ability to work independently and in a fast paced team environment
Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
High degree of attention to detail and demonstrated ability to multi-task
Mechanical aptitude and previous experience working in farm operations preferred but not required
