    1. Flagpoles
      1. The Canadian, Nova Scotian, Mi’Kmaq or NSCC flags will be flown on campus flagpoles.
      2. Other flags may be flown temporarily in order to recognize special events or months of the year. These flags should replace existing flags in this order:
        1. NSCC flag
        2. Canadian flag
        3. Nova Scotian flag
      3. The placement of flags must follow the National Flag of Canada Etiquette.
    2. Half Mast
NSCC will fly flags at half-mast:
      1. At all campuses upon the direction of the federal or provincial government, the Mi’kmaq Assembly of Chiefs, or the President or Executive Team of NSCC.
      2. At individual campuses upon the direction of the Campus Principal or Vice President, Campus & Communities.

The College and/or campus must share the rationale for the half-masting through social media channels, email and/or Connect. The Manager of External Relations will work with Executive and/or Principals to determine most appropriate channels.
