HAP Alaska-Yukon supports Holland America Line and Princess Cruises in Alaska and Canada's Yukon territory. Our Canadian Yukon hotel located in the unique and historic town of Dawson City is HAP's boutique premier hotel; with 177 guest rooms, home to Belinda's Dining Room and the Keno Lounge & Patio Bar.

You will experience the intricacies of the cruise industry in collaboration with overland tours and transportation logistics, from a large corporation to each individual locations role. Qualifications

Hiring for all Hospitality & Culinary Positions including; Room Attendants, Laundry Attendants, Department Supervisors, Guest Services Agents, Maintenance Assistants, Night Janitor, Waithelp/Servers, Bartenders, Dishwashers, Prep Cooks, and Line Cooks!

  • High school completion or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Successful completion of company-provided criminal background check.
  • Minimum age of 19 years required to reside in company housing. Candidates at the age of 18 years may be considered upon parental consent to live in company housing.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Must be able to work independently and within a team environment, contributing to a pleasant, positive guest experience.
  • Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures, guidelines and safety standards - both at work and in housing (if applicable).
  • Ability to adapt to new ideas and accept changing situations with confidence and ease.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing with employees, management, and guests.
  • Some positions may require the ability to lift 50 lbs/23 kgs as some heavy lifting is required.

Co-op Position Eligibility Criteria:

To be considered any co-op position, students must meet the following NSCC criteria:

Enrollment Status: Must be a current NSCC student in good academic standing and returning to your program for classes in the Fall. Graduating students are not eligible for co-op.  

Academic Continuity:?Must be returning to your current program for full-time study in the Fall Term.

International Students Permit Requirement: International students must possess a valid co-op work permit from the Government of Canada with no restrictions that would prevent them from engaging in the described co-op work.

Tuition Requirement: The co-op course is an elective first-year course in your program that occurs in the Spring/Summer semester. There is a tuition fee for this course.
Approval Requirement: All co-op experiences must be approved by your faculty or Academic Chair and sent to workexperience@nscc.ca?in order to receive credit towards your NSCC credential. Please check in with your Faculty Advisor before accepting any job offer.
