Machinists (General & Certified) and CNC Machinists

About the Position

Machinists: Responsible to set-up and operate machine shop equipment and tools to produce, manufacture and/or repair aircraft and aerospace components in accordance with customer or engineering specifications, Company procedures, SWIMS, etc. This includes newly manufactured and pre-fabricated aircraft parts.

Qualifications

• Completion of a formalized apprenticeship program or equivalent experience and/or training.
• Knowledgeable of mathematics and mechanics as well as respect for safety precautions.
• Must possess a high level of manual dexterity, attention to detail and a strong interest in aircraft/aerospace production, repair and/or overhaul.
• Completion of Global Harmonized System (WHMIS) course.
• Completion of an aircraft blueprint course or have demonstrated ‘tested’ ability to read aircraft blueprints.
• Must be eligible to meet the requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and the Canadian Security Clearances.
• Must be able to work with others co-operatively and follow directives precisely. Knowledge of processes, products and equipment and ability to read blueprints and engineering documentation will be considered an asset.
