About the Position

Company Overview:

Scotia Garden Seafood is a harvester, producer and distributor of high-quality fish and seafood products. Our growing company is Yarmouth based, with operations across Southwest Nova Scotia.

Position Info:

• Full-time, hourly wage position
• Comprehensive benefits package (Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, LTD, Critical Illness, EFAP, Employer Contributed RRSP, paid sick-time).
• Shift Work required
• Based at our production facilities, 112 Water Street, Yarmouth, Nova Scotia

Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repairs on refrigeration plant equipment when not in production
• Control and monitor refrigeration plant equipment when plant is in production
• Other general maintenance duties on facilities and vessels
  

Qualifications

• High school Diploma
• Enroll in and complete a company-sponsored Nova Scotia Refrigeration Operator apprenticeship
• Self-motivated and a willingness to learn
• Contribute to maintaining a positive, healthy, and safe work environment
• Wage will be commensurate with experience/ability
• Open to already ticketed 2nd Class Refrigeration Operators as well
