About the Position

This position is within a small community cafe. We are a close knit group and see locals on a regular base and an increase in traffic during the tourism season. We produce pastries and meal options with a focus on vegetarian and gluten friendly options.

The successful candidate will be required to show proof of competent/consistent culinary best practices and produce product that meets outcomes & expectations.

Duties will include the following:

  • baking
  • meal prep & cooking
  • cleanup
  • ordering and stock inventory
  • directing support staff as needed
  • other related duties as necessary

Qualifications

The successful candidate will require the following:

  1. Minimum 1 year culinary training in a certified culinary institute or community campus
  2. Minimum 2 years experience cooking within a commercial kitchen
