NSCC Board of Governors approve ratified agreements

On Friday, March 22, NSCC Board of Governors approved the ratified agreements reached by College and Union bargaining teams on behalf of Faculty and Professional Support colleagues.

On March 21, the AAU announced voter turnout was 88% with 91% of Professional Support and 86% of Faculty voting to accept.

“Both teams worked tirelessly and creatively over the last seven months to achieve agreements that create the opportunity for a renewed approach in our shared work of supporting students to succeed in their careers and in life,” says NSCC President, Don Bureaux. “We are grateful for the commitment of the collective bargaining teams and thank our community for their continued support of and respect for the collective bargaining process.”

NSCC is now focused on implementing the new collective agreements.

The confirmed agreements will now be finalized for signing by both bargaining teams. After the agreements are signed, the College will coordinate with the AAU on making information available.
