Working in Victoria is a gardener’s dream! There is a reason this is considered the gardening capital of Canada: the mild coastal climate is perfect for an astounding diversity of plants and allows you to work comfortably outdoors 10 - 11 months out of the year without doing (only very rarely) snow removal. As a business owner I am committed to trying to make our operations as ecologically sustainable as possible. I am committed to converting from gas powered equipment to battery power over the next few years to eliminate noise and exhaust pollution from what we do. Wherever possible I try to compost garden waste on site to create rich soil-building compost. We have also been very lucky in terms of COVID - Vancouver Island has so far had a very low rate of infection, and even at the height of the lockdown in spring 2020 we were able to continue working without any interruption.
