Course overview
This course will introduce learners to the field of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS, or Integrated Product Support, IPS) as it is practiced in marine, aerospace, and defense industries. The complexity of modern large-scale manufacture and maintenance in those fields requires a vast number of plans and solutions to keep procurement, production, and post-production activities coordinated and value driven. From initial material and equipment acquisition through production, in-service maintenance, and disposal, a myriad of details needs to be considered, documented, and tracked. This product lifecycle is the domain of professionals in integrated logistics/ product support. This course will provide a look at the various methods, tools and techniques used by those who provide this invaluable support function.
Pre-requisite: High School Graduation Diploma or equivalent.
