Course overview
Designed for those interested in project management in large-scale industries, this course introduces Project Controls as a vital function within the administration of complex projects such as those in aerospace manufacturing, commercial construction, and shipbuilding. Project Controls are a set of functions, techniques, and practices intended to monitor the schedule, budget, actuals, progress, and forecast throughout a project lifecycle. The course begins with an introduction or refreshment of basic project management concepts before diving into the work done by control accounts managers and other project controls professionals. Learners will explore the structure and processes involved in this work and will practice calculating and analysing earned value and related metrics to support effective monitoring and control of a project.
Pre-requisite: High School Graduation Diploma or equivalent.
