The Billing Clerk position prepares all billings for Grand View Manor residents as well as Orchard View and Fundy Villa apartment tenants, Nova Scotia Public Housing Agency, Department of Veteran's Affairs and Nova Scotia Department of Seniors & Long Term Care.
Responsible for reconciliations of provincial funding of resident board bills. Maintains Resident Trust Funds and Resident Files.
Administrative Assistant - responsibilities of this role will include daily administrative tasks for operations of Grand View Manor including but not limited to managing a multi-line switch board phone, organizing minutes and documents for Board of Directors meetings, sorting mail, etc.
· Post Secondary Education Business Administration (or equivalent)
· Experience in bookkeeping/clerical role required
· Experience working with Senior Leadership Team & Board of Directors
· Knowledge & Experience in Healthcare is advantageous
· 2+ years experience in Long Term Care considered an asset
· Proven ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality, tact and empathy
· Strong analytical, attention to detail, and organizational skills
· Demonstrated ownership of carrying out responsibilities, using creativity and resourcefulness to achieve desire results
· Strong initiative and problem solving abilities
· Ability to multitask and prioritize competing priorities
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
· Proficiency in Microsoft products
· Requires minimal supervision
· Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting
· Proven ability to work with a 'continuous quality improvement' mindset daily
