Job Summary: The Case Manager: Parent Support Specialization is based at our walk-in centre, serving youth aged 16-24 and their children. This program is often a first point of contact with Phoenix. Reporting to the program Manager, the Case Manager: Parent Support Specialization role is responsible for providing case management to youth who are parenting, and youth working with DCS with respect to regaining custody. This role also supports others in the walk-in centre who require assistance throughout the day. The services offered are confidential, non-judgmental and include parenting support, advocacy, housing support, crisis intervention, counselling, referrals to internal and community resources, health services, financial support, food, clothing, shower and laundry facilities, computer, and phone access.
Reports to: Manager, Phoenix Centre for Youth
Compensation: $47,278 annual salary, comprehensive group medical insurance plan, Employee and Family Assistance Program, RRSP contribution, 3 weeks of vacation in the first year and 4 weeks of vacation in the second year, generous sick leave, a generous paid holiday schedule, in-house trainings, and professional development opportunities.
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., with some flexibility and occasional evening and weekend work.
Screening Requirements: This position is subject to a satisfactory criminal record check including a vulnerable sector search, child abuse register check and proof of education.
