As our Technical Implementation Lead, you'll be at the heart of our operations, collaborating closely with teammates and our valued clients to ensure our technical projects are appropriately planned, efficiently executed, and successfully delivered. 

This role is an ideal fit for an engaging and proactive leader who gets excited at the prospect of taking full ownership of the start-to-finish implementation of our technical projects, striving to help us meet and exceed client expectations at every turn.

Key Responsibilities

Design, execute and complete projects that delight our clients, following sound project management methodology and processes established by the IT Practice Lead.

Actively engage in managing project scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, and deliverables, ensuring that the project objectives and client expectations are exceeded.

Communicate, collaborate and connect effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members throughout the project lifecycle, providing regular status updates, balanced feedback, and documentation.

Demonstrate versatility and adaptability in handling a variety of IT projects across different sectors, industries, and domains, such as education, health care, finance, or retail.

Show enthusiasm and curiosity for learning new technologies, tools, and methodologies, and apply them to solve diverse and complex problems in various settings.

Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure the successful delivery of projects, leveraging the expertise and resources available.

Provide technical leadership and guidance to Help Desk Analysts, using your skills and experience to assist them with escalated issues and sharing best practices.

Embrace feedback to identify and help address opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains, contributing to the continuous improvement of our project delivery and IT support services.

Stay updated on the latest technologies and trends in the IT industry and apply them to the projects and issues as appropriate.

Assist with strategic planning and decision-making to optimize IT operations and meet client needs, ensuring that the project delivery team is equipped to deliver high-quality and efficient IT solutions.  

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project delivery, with demonstrated expertise in managing complex and challenging IT projects. 

Experience working in a managed services or outsourced IT environment is preferred. 

Experience with Servers, Networks, Cloud Computing, Virtualization, and End-User equipment is required. 

Post Secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field, is not required but would be considered an asset.

Highly accountable and able to make independent decisions, probe, analyze and problem-solve.

Strong planning and project management skills and a desire to deliver excellence, with a commitment to teamwork and collaboration.

Positive, self-motivated, and mindful with the ability to thrive in a team environment.

Proven ability to respond professionally to time-sensitive inquiries or complaints as they arise.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.

Proven ability to deliver high-quality, timely and efficient IT solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Sound knowledge of IT security principles and best practices.

ITIL certification or knowledge of IT service management best practices.

Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum) or knowledge of project management best practices is an asset.

Additional technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft, Cisco, AWS) would be an asset.

Experience with remote support tools and technologies is an asset. 

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

A valid driver’s license is required.

 

What to Expect

This position is primarily based out of our Dartmouth, Nova Scotia Head Office, Monday to Friday, with travel to client sites as needed. There may be a need to work after hours to meet client requirements, from time to time.
