Customer Service Representative

About the Position

Webber’s is a rural café, general store and laundromat re-opening this summer in Lake Charlotte, on Nova Scotia’s majestic Eastern Shore.  We take the responsibility as purveyors of Eastern Shore hospitality seriously and as such, we are known for our great food, products and vibe.  We are located at 11470 Highway 7.

Our customer service reps are the front line of Webber’s.  We are seeking individuals to join our team with typical duties that vary and generally include:

• learning and knowing our seasonal menu, products, services and equipment to provide customer service
• consistently serving all food products including new items according to standards
• barista & kitchen duties
• retail sales
• completing all checklist tasks with a great attitude
• wash/dry/fold laundry service
• point of sale, customer order processing and cashiering
• carrying groceries and laundry to customer cars 
• receiving, stocking and merchandising inventory.

This role is suited for professionals who thrive: 

• Connecting with customers – naturally putting the customer first, warmly greeting each one upon entrance to Webber’s. Customer service reps learn and use names, showing each visitor the same care and attention as they do with their close friends.  
• Offering solutions – offering help with laundry machines, suggesting from our delicious menu or general store or scooping the perfect cone. Our customer service reps passionately inform themselves about our equipment, local products and trends and the seasonality and availability of local foods - all to share this wisdom with our customers. 
• Loving all things food & home – because everybody at Webber’s is a foodie, is passionate about homemaking and has chosen the Eastern Shore lifestyle.  Customer service reps take pride in the wide range of work they do from laundry wash, dry and fold to preparing and serving beautiful, high quality menu items and supporting our customers with their merchandise and grocery purchases. Our customers return, thanks to this hospitality.
• Clean space – In every area of Webber’s, from the front door to the restrooms, customer service reps actively contribute to maintaining a beautiful space during every shift, keeping it FIFO stocked and remarkably clean.  Because, clean is our thing.
  

Qualifications

• enthusiastic natural approach to customer service 
• early adopter of new technologies and new ways of doing things
• maintains regular, consistent, and punctual attendance 
• coachable 
• desire to never stop learning
• ability to communicate effectively, respectfully and with care
• ability to physically deliver duties for an entire shift and transport up to 50 lbs short distances
• available at least two shifts weekly that can include weekends, early mornings and closings; our business is open to customers from 6 a.m. - 9 p.m. 
• current criminal record check
• current food safety certificate or willingness to acquire one before starting; we can help you with this.

The customer service representative is an hourly position with a starting hourly base pay of $16.00 plus tips, perks and merit-based opportunities for compensation increase.
