Paying for housing

Payment options

  • Phone – Call any Campus Business Office and pay by credit card or Visa Debit.
  • In-person - Visit any NSCC Campus and pay by debit, cash, or credit card.
  • International Students - Go to the CIBC International Student Pay and follow the instructions to make a payment. Note: This will take you away from the NSCC website, to the CIBC portal

Student loans

If you’re planning to use a student loan to pay for housing, or are waiting for approval of your student loan, please be sure to indicate that in your post-acceptance survey (which is sent to you when you have been offered a space) and contact your campus prior to the fee deadline.

Funded students

If your housing is being funded, connect with your Campus Housing Coordinator or campus business office prior to the fee deadline to confirm there are no outstanding payments to be made.

Withdrawals and refunds

All Campus Housing deposits, once paid, are non-refundable and non-transferrable.

A student who withdraws from campus housing after the start of occupancy, regardless of the reason, will be held financially responsible for room and board fees as follows:

  • The student will be required to pay a $100 administrative services fee on withdrawal.
  • The student will be required to pay all campus housing fees as outlined in their Campus Housing Agreement, prorated to the actual date of departure, plus an additional 4 weeks of room fees from the actual date of departure.
  • Students who withdraw from campus housing during fall semester after November 1 or during winter semester after March 1 will be responsible for payment of the entire room and board fees as quoted for the full semester.

There are exemptions to the above for exceptional circumstances.

Exceptional Circumstances

A student who is unable to continue living in campus housing due to medical reasons, or because of exceptional circumstances beyond their control, may submit a written application, along with any applicable supporting evidence including medical documentation, to NSCC Campus Housing to request a pro-rated credit of their fees. The application must be submitted within 14 days of the student’s withdrawal from campus housing. Applications will be considered and determined by the College at its sole and absolute discretion.
