Apply for campus housing
Campus housing admissions process
NSCC's campus housing admission process considers several factors when offering a space in campus housing to students and assigning rooms, roommates or suitemates.
NSCC Campus Housing is now accepting applications for the 2025 - 2026 Academic Year. Apply using the green button below or visit your campus specific page.
NSCC campus housing strives to create an accessible admission process, which includes reassigning spaces and offers as necessary, in addition to directly allocating spaces and reducing barriers for equity deserving students.
Considerations include:
- holding space offers,
- adjusting deposit and payment timelines and
- reassigning spaces as deemed necessary.
How to apply
This year, a new campus housing application software is being used to make the process faster, more convenient, and track the status of your application.
Included in the application process are personal preference and lifestyle-related questions which are used to ensure the best possible suitemate match (where necessary). None of your answers will exclude you from living in campus housing but rather, serve to support your placement. NSCC Campus Housing strongly encourages the student intending to live in campus housing to fill out all questions personally.
Visit the specific campus housing page to review information on location, amenities and general cost. Also, review the Living on Campus Guide to learn more about your responsibilities and expectations.
Click on the Apply Now button, which will be at the bottom of this page, and on Campus Location Pages.

You must be a confirmed applicant or returning student to access the application in our housing application software.
PLEASE NOTE: If you receive an error message "you can't log in - access denied" this may be because you have not yet accepted your offer of admission or confirmed your seat in a program. This must be done first before you are able to log into our system. You must have accepted your seat and paid your deposit or be a returning student in order to apply for campus housing.
Campus housing offers
As mentioned in the admissions process, there are detailed considerations when offering a space in housing.
Considerations may include:
- Date of application – generally the earlier you apply the better.
- Academic admission status - only students who have confirmed their seat at NSCC or who are returning to studies will be able to apply for and be offered campus housing.
- Enrollment – priority is given to students enrolled at the specific campus location.
- Accessibility requirements – students must indicate any special considerations on their application. NSCC campus housing will follow up with the student directly to obtain details.
- Room style preference - will be offered where there are options available.
- Gender identity and student lifestyle preferences – roommate or suitemate preferences will be considered where applicable.
It’s important to be honest in your application about your living preferences. Not being honest can lead you to being placed in a housing environment that does not support your success.
When you receive an offer, it’s important to review the details which will include the next steps you will have to take to confirm the space, deadlines, and any other essential information.
Campus housing waitlist
Students who qualify for campus housing but do not receive an offer are automatically added to the waitlist. Our waitlist is actively managed, and we send offers on a rolling basis.
We do not provide students with a waitlist number as students are offered housing according to the spaces that become available and according to the living preferences identified on their application.
Alternative Campus Applications
Priority for campus housing will be given to confirmed applicants and returning students studying at the specific campus housing location.
If your campus does not provide campus housing, you may still apply for an alternate campus. Your application will be automatically added to the waitlist. Should a space become available closer to the start of the fall academic term, you may be contacted regarding an opportunity.
We also encourage students to review our off-campus housing support materials.
