Convocation attire
Your Convocation attire is what you wear during your ceremony when you graduate. It’s available in the gown room at your ceremony location. Be sure to arrive at least an hour before the ceremony begins to give yourself enough time to get ready.
As part of your attire, you wear a black gown and an academic stole representing your program and credential. See more below.

Exceptions approved by the Office of the Registrar include:
- Indigenous students and African Canadian students may wear items of cultural significance.
- Active military personnel may wear their dress uniform.
- Clergy/members of religious orders may wear their religious apparel.
Any additional exceptions must be approved by the Office of the Registrar. Contact your campus Student Services team for more information.

High School Diploma and Achieve
Graduates completing their High School diploma in the Adult Learning Program and graduates completing the Achieve program wear a two-colour vee stole: white (inner) and white (outer).
Certificate
Graduates completing certificate programs wear two-colour vee stole: white (inner) and grey (outer).
Diploma
Graduates completing diploma programs wear a two-colour vee stole: white (inner) and navy blue (outer).
Advanced Diploma and Graduate Certificate
Graduates completing advanced diploma or graduate certificate programs wear a three-colour vee stole: white (inner), grey (middle) and navy blue (outer).
