RBC donates $200,000 to support and expand the RBC Student Works Program
Opening opportunities for rural NSCC students
On Tuesday, October 26, at NSCC’s Kingstec Campus, the RBC Foundation announced a $200,000 donation over two years to support and expand the RBC Student Works Program at NSCC. As a part of RBC’s Future Launch initiative, the donation will continue the program for another two years and expand its offering to eight rural NSCC Campuses.
The Student Works program is designed to provide hands-on learning experiences to students. Sydney D. participated in the Student Works program at Truro Campus and credits the opportunity with providing her with a supportive learning environment:
“It was an amazing experience, especially with the pandemic for my first couple years of college, to really learn in a supportive environment and further my education as a student. It’s truly amazing to know that NSCC has a great community dedicated to helping students and partnering with businesses and programs, like RBC Student Works, that have similar goals that many people benefit from,” says Sydney, 2021 Business Administration, Truro Campus.
