Rallying for Rapid Response – Donors support food security
Giving Tuesday 2022
On November 29, you helped us celebrate Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving. Through the J & W Murphy Foundation’s leadership, Nova Scotia’s post-secondary institutions came together to highlight food insecurity among students. The generosity of NSCC staff, donors, alumni, and partners helped NSCC Foundation exceed our goal of raising $10,000 to support students with over $15,000 in donations. With a generous matching gift of $10,000 from the J & W Murphy Foundation that brings us to a total of over $25,000 raised for students through Rapid Response!
Rapid Response helps address the large-scale need among students that could disrupt their education, like food insecurity. Donations to Rapid Response received on Giving Tuesday will fund programs like Cost of Living Bursaries that help students purchase items like healthy groceries, helping them stay focused on their education. Learn how these bursaries impact students directly from recipient Shaun D.
Thank You
