Compiling a bibliography
Good research requires documenting the sources you used and compiling a bibliography. Two common styles for academic writing are listed below, but students should check with their instructors to see which style to follow.
APA Style
Typically used when writing research papers in the sciences and social sciences. APA style requires the creation of a References list. This guide contains resources to help you use APA:
MLA Style
Commonly used when writing papers in the arts and humanities. MLA style requires the creation of a Works Cited page. This guide contains resources to help you use MLA:
