Please note that summer 2024 Youth Skilled Trades Camps are now fully booked.

As part of the Government of Nova Scotia’s Actions to Accelerate Skilled Trades Growth, the Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency is providing funding for Youth Skilled Trades Camps across the province in partnership with NSCC.

Youth ages 12 to 15 are invited to try out skilled trades for free in a safe, fun and interactive learning environment.

NSCC faculty will provide hands-on learning in carpentry, welding, metal fabrication, plumbing, automotive, cooking and more at a series of 5-day camps held at campuses across the province in July and August.

Why attend?

  • Lots of variety with new activities each day.
  • Try out different trades and discover which ones you like most.
  • Take part in hands-on learning and take home what you build.
  • Get an early start exploring what a skilled trades career is like.
  • See what it’s like to learn a trade at a college campus.
