Skilled Trades Pathways Pilot

Students who meet all high school graduation requirements by the end of semester 1 of grade 12 have the unique opportunity to start college early. Choose between Electrical Construction and Industrial at Truro Campus or Plumbing at Sydney Waterfront Campus through the Skilled Trades Pathways Pilot, and graduate ready to enter the workforce in 9 months.

Choose between the following 2 trades programs.

Electrical Construction and Industrial

Learn to assemble, install, commission, test, maintain, service and operate electrical systems and equipment.

Learn to install and repair water distribution and sanitary drainage systems, and hot water heating systems.

Apprenticeship

Electrician and Plumber are compulsory trades in Nova Scotia. Completion of this program means you're eligible to apply for 900 hours of transfer credit and Level 1 Technical Training as you work toward your journeyperson certification through Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency.
