Wendi Dewey's Story
People often ask me why I love to travel internationally with our students so much.; the answer is easy...I love to see them experience and learn new things. Whether it is flying for the first time , or experiencing another culture, the learning experience s are limitless!
Today, eight 2nd- year Business Tourism students and two faculty headed out on our 10-day adventure to Greece. All things considered, the first leg of our journey went smoothly, traveling from Halifax to Toronto. Lots of learning about checking in, going through security, what you can and can't take with you on a plane, why people stand so early to queue to board their flight, etc. All learning moments you learn best by experiencing firsthand.
Our next leg of the journey was from Toronto direct to Athens...an almost 10 hour flight! We were delayed due to "mechanical issues" which presented more learning moments on patience, snacks, and yes...why people stand up only yo wait in the queue to board.
Or flight was overnight which proved challenging for some (sleeping on a plane) , but everyone was excited when we landed...in Greece!🇬🇷. I look forward to reading the student blogs to come on their learning experiences, but more importantly I lol forward seeing them live them!
