Penny Winters' Story
I had such an amazing experience coming to Netherlands. I was able to experience another culture and learn about the amazing history of a beautiful city, Groningen. I learned that I could navigate my way around the world, and how to overcome travelling challenges. Now that I have this experience the fear of the unknown will not be a roadblock for me in future travels.
Taking a summer course gave me the opportunity to work in a truly diverse group that allowed me to learn how to navigate cultural differences and generational differences. Although it was challenging at times, I learned how to work around some of my control issues and high expectations of myself.
This was an amazing adventure that I will remember forever. I met an amazing group of people, made connections, and friendships that I am sure will last a lifetime.
