Aidan Yorke's Story
I didn’t expect how much I would learn and experience during the four weeks of this summer program. Arriving in Croatia was stressful since I’ve never travelled abroad alone before. But once I was settled at my accommodation, I got to explore the beautiful city of Zagreb for the rest of the day. Zagreb feels like a second home since living there for 3 weeks. From the beautiful architecture, and busy markets, and going out to the cafes and bars with some friends.
I was enrolled in the Cyber Security and Croatian Language and Culture programs at Algebra University. I’ve learned so much during the whole month, and the teachers were very engaging, you can tell they love what they are teaching. I recommend taking the Croatian module because you will make friends very easily since it’s everyone’s first day, and you also get to tour the city and go on field trips with the class.
I never could have seen myself doing an experience like this, since it’s way out of my comfort zone. But I’m so glad I did, I’ve made many great friends from all over the world, and shared the best experiences with them. Now I can’t wait to travel to other parts of the world and make new memories.
