Giving Tuesday: Double your impact
What is Giving Tuesday?
Giving Tuesday is the world's largest generosity movement, empowering people every year to give back and help others. Giving Tuesday 2024 will take place on Tuesday, December 3.
Let's make a difference for NSCC students
Over the last year, we have seen a dramatic increase in student need. With cost of living and food insecurity on the rise across Nova Scotia, NSCC students are feeling the pressure more than ever. But with your help, we can make sure even more students can access emergency financial support, healthy food and other resources that help them focus on their education.
When you donate to the Rapid Response program on Giving Tuesday, your donation will be doubled thanks to the J & W Murphy Foundation who are matching gifts up to $11,000.
Rapid Response helps address the immediate and unplanned needs of NSCC students. Your generosity in previous years has supported:
- Nova Scotia Wildfire Emergency Bursaries, assisting students during last year’s wildfires.
- Grocery and gas gift cards and transportation assistance, helping students facing food insecurity and financial challenges associated with transportation to and from class and work placements.
- Cost of Living Bursaries, helping students tackle financial strain associated with the high cost of food, housing, childcare and other essentials.
