Happy Holidays: Enjoy this festive drink recipe

May you find time to celebrate the holiday season in a way that means most to you. To spread some festive cheer, we connected with Leah Price (Tourism Management ’17) who kindly shared her recipe for a Festive Spritz.
Festive Spritz
Ingredients
2 oz cranberry juice
3 oz tonic soda
0.5 oz lime juice
0.5 oz simple syrup
2-4 drops of vanilla extract
splash of soda water
**optional**
1oz gin or non-alcoholic gin
Instructions
Add all ingredients to a wine glass, top with lots of ice and give it a gentle stir.

Whole cranberries
Sprig of rosemary
Orange slice
Simple Syrup
1 cup of white sugar
1 cup of water
Combine the sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, stirring, until sugar has dissolved. Allow to cool, then pour into a clean jar or container with a tight lid. Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one month.
Make it Your Own
This recipe is completely customizable! Don’t like cranberries? Try some local apple cider. Or you can swap the tonic for ginger beer. Maybe add some cinnamon, ginger, and the vanilla to your simple syrup for a spiced version. The possibilities are endless, just have fun, be safe and enjoy!
