NSCC is located in Mi’kma’ki, the unceded territory and traditional homeland of the Mi’kmaq Nation. Our relationship is based on a series of peace and friendship treaties between the Mi’kmaq Nation and the Crown, dating back to 1725.

As Treaty beneficiaries, we recognize that we are all Treaty People.

PICTORIAL: Potlotek plants 1,000 trees in Forest of Hope Potlotek First Nation gathered for the second annual Forest of Hope event, which featured an array of traditional and educational activities with tree-planting at the forefront. A group of first- and second-year Social Services students from Strait Area Campus joined the event, assisting in planting trees and learning the importance of deepening positive connections with local communities.
